Velacur Liver Scan
A quick, non-invasive way to check your liver health.
Why liver health matters
One of the biggest challenges with liver disease is that it often
causes no symptoms in the early stages.
You can have:
Fat buildup
Inflammation
Even early scarring
…and still feel completely normal.
Symptoms like fatigue, abdominal swelling, yellowing of the skin
or eyes, or confusion usually don’t appear until liver damage is more advanced,
which is why screening and early intervention matter.
Why liver disease is often missed
It makes bile, which helps you digest food
It stores sugar so your body has energy when you need it
Common causes of chronic liver disease
Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MASLD/MASH)
Alcohol-related liver disease
Viral hepatitis, such as hepatitis B or C
Nearly one in three adults has fatty liver disease.
With early detection and intervention fatty liver disease can be halted or even reversed.
What is Velacur?
It is a non-invasive ultrasound of the liver that can be performed in about 30 minutes. It measures how much fat(steatosis) and scar tissue(fibrosis) is in your liver.
It helps your provider catch fatty liver disease early before it becomes serious. It’s done in the clinic with no needles or recovery.
