About the Role
Progress Weight Management is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide women’s health, hormone therapy and medical weight management care in Fargo.
You will care for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, hormonal symptoms and weight-related health concerns. This role is a good fit for a provider who wants time to listen, explain treatment options and build long-term relationships with patients.
You do not need to be an expert in every area on day one. Experience in women’s health, hormone therapy, endocrinology or primary care is helpful, but we are also open to a strong clinician who wants to grow in this specialty.
What You’ll Do
Provide individualized care for women experiencing perimenopause, menopause, PCOS and weight-related health concerns
Evaluate patients for hormone replacement therapy, prescribe treatment when appropriate and monitor safety and effectiveness
Incorporate anti-obesity medication management and lifestyle strategies into treatment plans
Order and interpret laboratory testing, including hormone panels and other relevant diagnostic studies
Educate patients about hormonal changes, treatment options, medications and long-term weight management
Monitor progress and adjust care plans based on symptoms, lab results and patient needs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with other members of the care team to provide coordinated support
Who We’re Looking For
You care about helping women feel heard and understand what is happening in their bodies. You can explain medical information clearly without making patients feel overwhelmed or dismissed.
You are comfortable building your own patient panel, continuing your education and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You may already have experience with hormone therapy and anti-obesity medications, or you may be ready to develop those skills.
Qualifications
Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in North Dakota
Current Minnesota license or willingness to obtain one
Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing, or graduation from an accredited physician assistant program
Current national certification as an NP or PA-C
Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care
Experience in women’s health, hormone therapy, endocrinology or primary care preferred, but not required
Experience with electronic medical records preferred
Willingness to complete additional education or certification through the Obesity Medicine Association within one year of hire
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk and bend throughout the workday
Ability to assist patients and lift up to 25 pounds when needed
